David J. Weisberg is an abstract artist with a day job and often considers leaving town. Despite receiving a B.F.A. in drawing from Arizona State University; David has sold work in Scottsdale, Arizona's premier art district, been commissioned for private works and has self-published a collection of prose and poetry entitled, "Don't Shave When You're Wasted". Recently David pursued a concentration in calligraphy and hand-lettering as a result of a prolonged creative block, but looking back over a year’s time, it has clearly become a focal point in his artistic direction. The lettering required focused attention without unnecessary pressures and unexpectedly encouraged a closer inspection of language and expression. Through wit and wisdom, alongside lyrics and language, David’s letters leave a bold impression with a touch of humor and insight.
